Group Therapy

According to the Cambridge Dictionary, Supervision is defined as "the act of watching a person or activity and making certain that everything is done correctly, safely, etc." In the fields of Counselling and Psychotherapy, supervision is essential to maintain scientific rigor and ensure the safety of users, particularly in practices like couples and family therapy, group therapy, and individual therapy.

While a growing number of psychologists and counsellors enter the field, only a limited number of programs offer a supervised practicum (approximately 200 hours) that allows them to apply their skills under the guidance of trained and experienced Supervisors. In training programs that do not provide adequate supervision, graduate students often face challenges in developing the necessary skills and confidence to effectively fulfill their roles.

At ORAH Rehabilitation Assessment Counselling and Psychological Services, we offer individual and group supervision to assist trainees and early counsellors in transitioning into competent professionals. Even for those who have been practicing for a while, ongoing supervision is increasingly seen as a vital component rather than a luxury.

Contact us to learn how supervision can enhance your skills in couples and family therapy, group therapy, and individual therapy, ensuring you serve your clients ethically and achieve better, faster outcomes.
